Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists are looking for an experienced Qualified Canine Hydrotherapist to join our team on a part-time basis for maternity cover starting May 2025. We are seeking a compassionate individual to provide cover in our rehabilitation team with experience in both acute and chronic cases in our underwater treadmill.
In the role, you are required to provide therapeutic hydrotherapy sessions with dogs that are recovering from surgery and/or being treated for chronic conditions. You will work closely alongside our physio team and veterinary professionals as well as pet owners during our patients' rehab plans.
Responsibilities:
- Manage workload and be confident working alone.
- Be able to assess each patient and customise a treatment plan in the underwater treadmill.
- Collaborate with the physio team and veterinary professionals.
- Maintain records of each session of treatment and progress of patients.
- Maintenance of equipment to a high standard.
- Water testing and treatment, maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and pets.
- Provide excellent customer service skills, communicating treatment plans and progress effectively.
Requirements:
- Qualified level 3-4 hydrotherapist.
- 1+ years experience in underwater treadmill.
- Physical capability and confidence working alone and managing own workload.
- Have a compassionate attitude towards patients and owners and have the best interest in their welfare.
- Registration (CHA, NARCH, ICH).

Your shift pattern:
Monday 8:30 am - 2:30 pm, Tuesday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm & Wednesday 8:30 am - 2:30 pm (16 hours per week).
