A leading professional services firm is looking for an experienced HR Data & Insights Manager to join their growing people analytics team. This is a brand new position introduced in the organisation to build on the existing leadership infrastructure.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be managing a small team of analysts, shaping the data strategy, and delivering insights that directly support senior decision-makers. The team has already made big strides in moving from spreadsheets to Power BI, and the business is continuing to invest in innovation; including in-house tech, AI and automation capabilities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and supporting a team of three HR data analysts
  • Building dashboards, reports and visualisations in Power BI
  • Presenting data-driven insights to senior stakeholders and boards
  • Collaborating with the systems team to ensure integrated, accurate reporting
  • Driving forward data governance, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Acting as the go-to for all things HR data, analytics and insight

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience managing or mentoring analysts
  • Excellent Power BI and Excel skills
  • Strong analytical capability and a data-led mindset
  • Confident communicator with experience presenting insights to non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities
  • Solution-focused, curious, and collaborative

Nice to have:

  • Experience in HR, legal or professional services
  • Familiarity with tools like Workday, PowerApps
  • Experience using advanced data analytics tools like R

The offer:

  • £60,000–£70,000 salary
  • Private medical, 25 days holiday (+ increase with tenure), 5% matched pension
  • Manchester or Leeds base, hybrid working (2-3 days per week in-office)
