A leading asset management firm is looking to hire a manager research analyst to join the multi-manager investment team. The purpose of the role is to conduct investment research on existing and potential new equity strategies for inclusion in portfolios.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce detailed manager research on existing managers and conduct rigorous research on prospective strategies across global, EM and regional equity fund universe.
- Undertake due diligence meetings with fund managers and produce post-meeting reports on insights and observations.
- Participate in investment meetings, updating the team on any developments in the funds under your coverage and contribute to idea generation.
- Conduct market and sector research to assess new investment opportunities.
- Assist with the analysis and management of portfolio and the underlying exposures.
- Provide Portfolio Managers with regular updates on key macro and market insights.
- Prepare investment and portfolio reports to communicate insights and findings with the wider investment team.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years relevant manager research experience at either an asset manager, asset owner or investment consultancy.
- Knowledge of global equity manager universe.
- Understanding of multi-manager portfolio management processes.
- CFA qualification would be preferable.
- Degree educated.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Able to present written and verbal information in a clear and concise manner.
- Team player who enjoys working in a collegial and collaborative working culture.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
