Key Responsibilities:
- Assist operational teams in managing and monitoring works.
- Advise on legislative changes affecting business practice.
- Ensuring strategic aims are understood and met by operations.
- Leading incident investigations for causation analysis.
- Facilitating SHEQ workshops for workforce capability improvement.
- Developing SHEQ communications including safety alerts and lessons learned.
- Assist leadership in workforce engagement on SHEQ-related matters.
- Review standards, procedures and guidance to ensure suitability and value to operations and organisation.
- Assist in the development of the Integrated Management System including the writing of documents.
- Assist in preparing and facilitating third party auditors.
- Assist in maintaining third party certifications and accreditations.
- Undertake site inspections (including supply chain).
- Perform internal strategic audits.
- Support external supply chain audits and Pre-Qualification Questionnaire support.
- Prepare a monthly report of activities undertaken and present to SHEQ Manager.
- Undertake travel and work where necessary within the specified region.
- Ensure that all company systems are used effectively and appropriately.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- Min of 2+ years HSEQ experience.
- Auditing experience and familiarity with ISO management systems.
- Ability to develop relationships and influencing change with operational management.
- Full UK Driving Licence (or UK valid Licence).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Planning and organisational skills to ensure efficacy and timely support.
- Computer literate with all Microsoft package applications.
Desirable:
- Chartered member of IOSH or similar professional qualifications.
- Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- 5+ years of Health and Safety experience in a construction setting.
- 3+ years of experience in auditing QHSE Management systems.
