We are seeking a HSE Manager, to be based on a Newly Commissioned Power Station in Slough.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy engineering sectors such as Power Generation ideally working with the Energy from Waste process. Your expertise in working with recognized management systems like ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 will be crucial in driving continuous improvement.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support top management in issuing HSE policies and guidelines
  • Define roles and responsibilities related to safety aspects
  • Ensure implementation, updating, review, and auditing of Company HSE Systems
  • Monitor effective implementation of Safety and Environment System procedures
  • Conduct safety audits, accident/incident investigations, and risk assessments
  • Provide technical support to Senior Management on safety-related matters
  • Support outages and projects at customer sites, including travel and flexible work arrangements

Requirements

  • Relevant Health and Safety Advisory experience in heavy engineering sectors
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent CSCS card holder
  • Qualified internal health & safety auditor with demonstrable audit experience
  • Minimum Grad IOSH certification
  • Strong communication, rapport-building, influencing, and negotiating skills
  • Pragmatic approach to managing Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Assurance
  • Experience and knowledge of management systems such as ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001

Package Details

  • Competitive salary range of £65,000 to £75,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
  • Opportunity for overtime during large projects and outages
  • Annual bonus
  • 25 days annual holidays plus statutory/bank holidays
  • 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday
  • Training and development opportunities
