Pre-School Room Leader / Day Nursery

Daytime Healthcare are assisting a STEM Day Nursery to find a Pre School Room Leader to join the team in Cambridge.\\nMain Purpose of Job:\\n * To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children.\\n * To ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted.\\n * To inspire outstanding practice and share knowledge and understanding of children’s care, learning and development and give support to other team members within their immediate room and within the wider Nursery.\\nMain Responsibilities and Tasks:\\n * To support colleagues to have the specific knowledge and skills required to work effectively with children aged children 0-24 months/24-36 months/37 to 59 months.\\n * To use specific training/knowledge and skills required to work effectively with children aged children aged 0-24 months/24-36 months/37 to 59 months.\\n * To follow and lead the curriculum policy within the team and monitor the effectiveness of practice of key persons within the room including the delivery of high quality STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) experiences as part of daily provision.\\nSpecific childcare tasks:\\n * To support and facilitate in the moment planning and the continuous provision, prepare and complete activities indoors and outdoors to support all children’s individual responses and next steps.\\n * Ensure that room checks and outdoor checks are conducted in line with nursery procedures.\\n * Ensure someone known and agreed by the nursery and parent collect each child.\\n * Cleaning and changing children as required.\\nHours:\\nMonday – Friday 40 hours per week to meet the needs of the rota – most likely working pattern is 4 long days 7.30-18.00 with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break.\\nDay off is changeable on a 4 day week option. When working 5 days – hours are usually 8.30-5 pm or 9-5.30pm.\\nYou must have the following:\\n * All staff must hold an in date paediatric first aid certificate.\\n * 2 years Nursery experience\\n * A level 3 qualification in childcare\\nApply today
