Job Summary:
The Visa and Immigration Compliance (VIC) HR Intern will be working alongside the Immigration Team Lead – Western Europe, and the UK Visa and Immigration Compliance (VIC) Administrator to ensure compliance with but not limited to UK immigration laws and regulations and Schlumberger policies. Larger exposure also by assisting as when required with Western Europe countries, enriching knowledge on immigration permission legislation, by providing hands on, various administrative support to the team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for conducting/monitoring of Right to Work checks as when required, particularly assisting the UK VIC team but not limited to the North population
- Responsible for assisting the UK VIC team with requisite reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for both internal and external (tracking/compliance) purposes for Weekly Reports (salary, housing etc.) – Actions Changed, Housing & Headcount and maintain Licences tracker accordingly.
- Assist the UK VIC team to maintain employee files in preparation or UKVI audits to ensure continued compliance with immigration laws and regulations and with Schlumberger policies.
- Ad-hoc assistance to the VIC coordinator – Western Europe as when required with tracking of A1s, secondment notification for Western Europe countries
- Any other compliance related administrative tasks as assigned by the Immigration Team Lead.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Human Resources, knowledge of HR/immigration compliance desirable.
- MS Office Suite, Excel.
- Valid right to work status in the UK for the whole duration of the internship.
