Role Summary
Claims Executive Senior Associate
The Claims Executive role requires an energetic, driven, and intelligent individual who will be responsible for looking after our claims across multiple classes of business and on an international placement basis. This is an ideal role for a person with five or more years of claims experience who is looking for a role in which they can grow and develop their knowledge and skills.
Role Accountabilities
- Handling a portfolio of international Property & Casualty insurance and reinsurance claims within service level agreement times,operating with integrity and professionalism;
- Ability to multi-task, manage conflicting priorities and work well under pressure;
- Liaising with Insurers, Clients, Brokers and other Insurance Experts daily;
- Working closely with internal teams, ensuring they are up-to-date and aware of developments;
- Assisting the claims team with the preparation and analysis of Management Information;
- Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities and work;
- Processing settlements;
- Handling London Market Systems;
- Setting up new claims and managing/reviewing throughout the lifecycle;
- Managing a diary system;
- Building and maintaining the Company\’s profile with Underwriters and key experts;
- Assisting the Head of Claims in monitoring the performance of claims providers and reaching targeted deadlines.
- Monitoring and checking the work of peers and providing knowledge-based training and guidance where necessary
- Meet with external parties if required to maintain relationships and discuss individual matters.
- Provide any necessary ad hoc support to Team Lead and other team members.
- Providing and undertaking training as required by the line manager
- Mandatory completion of company-prescribed learning and adherence to FCA rules.
- Compliance with all company procedures
- Any additional duties as assigned
Role Requirements
- Minimum 4-5 years of Property & Casualty Claims experience
- London Market experience
- Knowledge of ECF
- Experience in handling UK and International claims from cradle to grave
- Cargo, Property and Liability class knowledge (preferable)
- At least 5 A-C (or equivalent) Grade GCSE, including English and Maths
- Insurance qualifications, e.g. CII (desirable)
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
