Role Summary
The Claims Executive role requires an energetic, driven, and intelligent individual who will be responsible for looking after our claims across multiple classes of business and on an international placement basis. This is an ideal role for a person with five or more years of P&C claims experience who is looking for a role in which they can grow and develop their knowledge, skills, and career.
Role Accountabilities
- Handle a portfolio of international Property & Casualty (re)insurance claims within service level agreements.
- Pro-actively monitor the Consilium & Consilium Re claims inboxes, set up new claims and manage & review them through to file closure.
- Use London Market claims systems, process settlements, and manage a daily diary.
- Produce and analyse MI; monitor the performance of claims service providers, and comply with deadline.s
- Peer review, undertake and provide knowledge-based training as required
- Build strong strategic relationships with clients, brokers, underwriters, and other insurance experts/vendors
- Use technical claims knowledge to advocate for clients to improve customer service and optimise financial outcomes
- Assist other claims team members and take on additional responsibilities as required
- Work closely with internal teams; comply with all company procedures, prescribed training and regulatory rules and guidelines
Role Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of handling UK & international Property & Casualty claims, cradle to grave
- Lloyd’s & London Market claims broking experience strongly preferred, with excellent working knowledge of ECF
- Ability to multi-task, manage conflicting priorities and work well under pressure
- At least 5 GCSE Grade A-Cs (or equivalent), including English and Maths
- Insurance qualifications, e.g. CII is desirable
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Assist with the development and growth of the claims team
- Be an ambassador for Consilium and it’s claims team
- Knowledge of Cargo, Property, Energy and / or Professional Risks is an advantage
