You’ll support the Head of Risk and wider compliance leadership on a wide range of regulatory, data protection and professional standards matters. This varied and high-profile position includes advisory, policy, training and strategic project work. You'll work with stakeholders across the business, including fee-earners, business services professionals, and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on interpretation and application of the SRA Code of Conduct
- Respond to risk and compliance queries from internal stakeholders
- Support on data protection matters, including breaches and DSARs
- Review and advise on engagement terms and client contracts
- Draft and update internal policies, guidance and procedures
- Provide input on new business intake issues (conflicts, AML, confidentiality)
- Assist with audits, internal investigations and firm-wide risk assessments
- Deliver training to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations
- Monitor legal, regulatory and market developments and support strategic risk projects
This role would suit a qualified lawyer with at least 4 years law firm compliance experience. A sound understanding of regulatory frameworks, combined with data protection and contract review experience, is essential.
