A leading macro trading organisation is seeking a Platform Specialist to join their Enterprise Windows and Virtualization team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, managing cutting-edge infrastructure and collaborating with a team of highly skilled engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage Windows systems (on-premises and cloud), including Active Directory.
- Optimize and monitor the global VMware vSphere virtualization stack.
- Manage all VDI-related infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud.
- Oversee the organisation’s messaging platforms.
- Develop advanced PowerShell workflows for automation, analytics, and self-healing systems.
Required Skills and Experience
- 1-5 years of experience in Windows environments.
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere setups.
- Familiarity with systems monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, vRealize Operations).
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting (Python experience is a plus).
- Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
Desirable Skills
- Certifications such as MCSE or VMware VCP/VCAP.
