If you wake up every morning excited to craft exceptional digital experiences that turn visitors into loyal customers, this role is for you. As Group Product Manager for Growth & Account, you will lead the next evolution of our digital experience, creating personalised, seamless, and intuitive journeys that drive customer engagement and fuel business growth across our European domains.
We’re Tails.com, a dog food subscription company with a big difference. We create truly tailored food for each and every dog we serve. It all starts by asking a few simple questions about your dog. Then we use that information to create your pet's unique Tails.com recipe – so your dog gets exactly the nutrition they need, in the taste they love, delivered to their door every month.
We’ve got bold plans. Having created an entirely new category in pet food, we’re now scaling fast in the UK and Europe and backed by Purina, one of the world’s largest pet food companies. You’ll join a bunch of smart people working towards the same goals and a bunch of smart-ish dogs, all working on their own thing. Together, we’ll change the world of pet food for good.
Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
The role reports to the Head of Product and works closely with the Group Product Manager for Nutrition & Platform to create exceptional digital experiences. Our product team may be small, but it’s mighty and we’re looking for a leader who can inspire and drive a team of 2–3 Product Managers in this space. You will own the digital journeys that convert visits into loyal customers covering CRO, SEO, Sign-up Flow, Account, and Shop. Looking ahead, Personalisation and AI will play a key role in our next phase of growth and this role will be instrumental in shaping that future.
The role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of our customers, knowing what they need before they even know they need it. You'll craft seamless, high-impact experiences that drive conversion and retention, all while ensuring a frictionless and engaging journey.
As a key member of the Product team, you’ll work closely with our colleagues across trade, marketing, insight and data teams. You’ll drive a fast-paced, test-and-learn approach, knowing when to nurture and refine features and when to pivot. Ultimately, you will shape and execute a product roadmap that balances business growth with customer needs, ensuring long-term success.
You will be responsible for:
- Identifying the big opportunities to develop and execute a growth and retention focused product roadmap that aligns with business OKRs.
- Optimising conversion across acquisition channels, using data-led approaches.
- Applying commercial acumen to translate commercial figures and insights into actionable opportunity roadmaps.
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of 2-3 Product Managers, and inspiring a wider design and engineering team in fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
- Working with the Group Product Manager for Platform & Nutrition to ensure the platform transformation meets the expectations of a future experience.
- Improving our experimentation process to test and learn at speed.
- Engaging with Trading and Marketing stakeholders to build a cross-collaborative team to hit business goals.
- Leveraging key data and insight that inform product decisions and drive conversion and retention.
- Championing the delivery of high-quality digital experiences, ensuring a seamless, intuitive and enjoyable user experience.
- Bringing AI/Personalised approaches to our experience over the next year.
The skills you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a senior growth role for 5 years plus in a lead role in a retail or subscription based business.
- Experience of delivering exceptional digital journeys for customers which directly improve conversion and retention.
- Good understanding of commercial business metrics and how to translate those into experiences.
- Able to challenge the status quo in a positive way to enable the best outcome for our customers.
- Customer-focused, using insights and data to understand barriers to conversion.
- Good understanding of how personalisation/AI tools and techniques can provide one to many and one to one conversations.
- Strong track record of engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to shape products and experiences.
- Experience in leading and managing product teams, fostering innovation and execution excellence.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
What’s in it for you?
- Competitive salary, reviewed annually.
- Annual bonus, based on company performance.
- Flexible core hours, giving you true work-life balance.
