Contract: Permanent Hours: Full time Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience) Location: Southport We are looking for the right candidate to join our Quality Department as a Senior Quality Engineer. You will be responsible for providing guidance on the management, implementation, operation, monitoring, and review of the Quality Management System(s) in accordance with business and customer needs, ISO 9001, and any other relevant standards in line with the central Divisional governance. You will provide direction and control for the Southport Manufacturing Business Unit regarding manufacturing quality to ensure that products, processes, and services meet the quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. You will also oversee the management of the returns and warranty process for the Business Unit. Essential Criteria: We are looking for an individual who has the following skills/competencies: Engineering/Technical degree qualification (or equivalent experience) Internal auditor qualification (ISO 9001) Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent influencing skills Highly motivated and able to work unsupervised in a high-activity environment Competent with proven experience in developing, documenting, and implementing a Quality Management System experience within a manufacturing or warehousing environment Pragmatic approach to problem-solving Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Good knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) Desirable Criteria: Lead auditor qualification (ISO 9001) Knowledge of RISQS Knowledge of Network Rails Design for Reliability Standard Benefits: Competitive salary Pension and death-in-service provisions for employees in the pension scheme 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays) Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Health and Wellbeing Initiatives Employee offers and discounts from various retailers Recognition events and rewards Car parking / Breakfast club Unipart Dorman – Who Are We?
