Position Details
- Plan, co-ordinate and implement the most efficient and cost-effective production methods required to manufacture major sub-components and completed machines.
- Co-ordinate Production, Engineering and Quality Assurance Departments to establish/implement containment and root cause fixes to manufacturing issues.
- Implement best practice standard work onto the shop floor.
- Build/Drawing pack creation & maintenance in conjunction with Engineering Change Orders & New Product Development.
- Liaise with cross-functional departments e.g. supply chain, engineering, quality.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles including Line Balance, 5S, Poke Yoke.
- Ensure current processes and all new processes encompass safe working practices.
- Provide production support to the Manufacturing Department.
- Problem Solving.
About You
- Engineering-related third level qualification.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) would be advantageous.
- Solid experience in the use of Microsoft packages.
- Experience with 3D modelling software would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of and ability to train in Lean Manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent multi-tasking & attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Great organisational skills and self-motivated.
- Logical & methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work with others to meet deadlines.
