Based in Northampton, our client is an Education Technology company that produces award-winning reading and writing support software for children of all ages and abilities.
Hailed as ‘the gold standard of literacy software,’ their products are used in thousands of schools worldwide, supporting learners with dyslexia, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and other special educational needs.
The company has been trading since 1991, is active in 23 countries, and has won 12 prestigious awards. It has moved to a SaaS model and is on a significant growth curve.
The role
You’ll be responsible for leading the implementation of the company’s sales strategy in the UK. This will involve achieving the maximum possible revenue while maintaining the values of a company that really cares about its customers and its products.
Key objectives:
- Lead and motivate the UK sales team to achieve maximum revenue.
- Coach and mentor the team on SPIN-based sales strategies and account management.
- Drive the effective use of their CRM to track and manage opportunities.
- Ensure customer enquiries are handled efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximum sales opportunities.
Day-to-day includes:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodatecompany goals and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Line manage, lead, motivate, and review the UK sales team.
- Coach and mentor the UK sales team on using SPIN-based sales strategies to meet sales targets for new and renewal business.
- Coach the UK sales team on strategies for successful account management.
- Ensure that Group/Board strategies and directives are effectively disseminated to the UK sales team.
- Awareness of, reaction to, and team awareness raising of market fluctuations and opportunities, including local funding across all countries in the UK.
- Drive the effective use of the Dynamics CRM across the sales team to track and manage Opportunities in line with sales targets.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Hire and train new team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet sales targets.
- Support the directors in any other projects as requested.

To be successful, you will…
- Have a good understanding and knowledge of the educational environment, market and legislative developments.
- Have an education background or experience in educational sales
- Have proven experience as a sales manager or in a leadership role within sales
- Be experienced in selling to schools, ideally educational technology.
- Have a demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team

- Be able to develop in-depth product knowledge
