The head office of a major financial services institution is currently looking to hire a lawyer to join an active Head Office M&A team. In addition to working on disposals and acquisitions in international and emerging markets, as part of the central legal team you will be assisting with bespoke deals and special projects much wider than just corporate transactions. Executing the ambitious strategic plan is the core purpose of this team and you will be interacting with inspirational people on a daily basis from the senior management to the corporate finance team, to the Global business heads around the world. You will be expected to run and negotiate deals with little assistance as part of a senior team. Technical excellence as well as confidence will need to be demonstrated.
Large scale international M&A experience is key to this role. Ideally you will be able to speak French although the team speak and work in English. Insurance or regulatory experience would be beneficial but not essential and you should be prepared to travel, sometimes without much notice. You should have the enthusiasm and drive to take on more and embark in an ambitious career.
