Do you have solid experience in Machine Learning/AI, and more specifically Embedded AI / Edge AI? Have Audio experience, including audio classification, audio separation, sound separation, voice and dialog or speech separation?
We are seeking an AI Research Engineer to work on cutting edge Digital TV / Audio AI projects with a globally recognised tech/consumer electronics company. This is a permanent role working on a hybrid model (2 days per week working from home), based in the northwest Surrey/West London area (1 hour from King's Cross).
Required skills:
- A Master’s or higher degree in Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related discipline. An equivalent period of industrial experience may be substituted.
- Proven skills in compiling, deploying, profiling and optimizing latency and quality models on embedded devices (NPU and/or CPU).
- Excellent general AI skills, including improving quality of models using various techniques, including developing new architectures and novel training approaches.
- Experience with building training pipelines, applying new datasets and achieving timely results.
- Specific experience and application of general sound enhancement technologies for voice or other audio components, including but not limited to AI technologies.
- Analysis and design of software modules within an embedded system, including creation of demo applications to showcase AI work.
- Prior experience of innovation in the AI space, finding new project domains and generating project proposals.
Any of the following would be considered a plus:
- Publications in top ML conferences (e.g. ICML, ICCV, SysML or similar).
- Contribution to open source ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite, etc.
- Experience with knowledge distillation, computer vision algorithms, federated learning.
- Knowledge of one or more interpreted languages, such as Python and/or JavaScript.
- Experience of real-time and/or embedded software development in C++ (on embedded Linux) including multi-threaded programming (POSIX).
- Linux (or other Unix-like) programming experience, shell scripting.
- Version control systems, software build environments.
