We are looking for a Studio Mock Up Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution and delivery of physical and digital samples. You will manage and create a variety of different types of samples for various presentations and customers. Working with Creative, Product and Marketing to showcase our latest and innovative designs, allowing the customer to see a realistic product sample.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating the highest standard “production quality” samples for both internal and customer presentations using a variety of methods (e.g., Foil, Emboss, Laser cut).
- Creating digital samples for customer submissions.
- Monitoring e-mail inbox, processing and booking in requests using M365, prioritising workload to ensure all required completion in line with Critical Date Path.
- Coordinating activity, preparing and printing files of daily workload including the delegation of tasks to freelancers through peaks.
- Resource management alongside ERM to plan and book additional resources as demand requires.
- Negotiating with key stakeholders, communicating progress throughout the process, escalating where necessary.
- Working with external suppliers to scope out potential to outsource.
- Problem solving – ability to troubleshoot design issues and find creative solutions.
- Maintaining mock-up training documents and delivering training.
- Responsible for the maintenance and usage of specialist equipment, such as laser cutter, cutter machine, foiling machine.
- Monitoring and ordering of supplies to ensure mock-up areas are fully stocked at all times and areas are tidy and fit for purpose.
- Advising best safety practice in the Mock-Up area.
- Advising the design studio on how best to prepare files for sampling and mock-ups.
- Investigating and developing new techniques in line with New Product development.
- Working alongside ERM driving cost saving, minimising waste and maximising freelance resource.
- Quality Control by ensuring that all mock-ups/samples are accurate representations of the product and meet quality standards.
- Gathering feedback from key stakeholders and team members, and making necessary adjustments to mock-ups.
To be successful you will need:
- Technical knowledge of setting files up for print, proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator and Photoshop, must be able to work with print-ready files and manipulate as necessary - Essential.
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation and communication skills to meet deadlines and plan appropriately - Essential.
