We are seeking a qualified Orthodontic Therapist to join a team either full-time or part-time and support the delivery of high-quality orthodontic treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out clinical orthodontic procedures prescribed by the orthodontist, including:
- Taking impressions, photographs, and radiographs
- Fitting, adjusting, and removing orthodontic appliances (e.g., braces, retainers)
- Monitoring treatment progress and making necessary adjustments
- Educating patients on appliance care and oral hygiene
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Support the orthodontist during more complex procedures
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures
- Provide a high standard of patient care, ensuring patients feel informed, reassured, and respected
- Contribute to a positive and professional working environment within the team
Requirements:
- Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) as a Therapist
- Experience in a clinical dental or orthodontic setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Staying updated with developments in orthodontics
