Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnered with a leading Global manufacturing organisation in the search and selection of a Procurement Category Manager - Marketing & Professional Services, within their developing procurement function. A Global role, leading the category function from a strategic viewpoint. Holding a Global spend of $100M+, covering the key categories for 22 sites around the world.
Main Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy Development: Define and implement category strategies for Marketing & Professional Services to drive cost savings, efficiency, and supplier innovation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, and Marketing leaders to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Sourcing & Contract Management: Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and risk management.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance management and continuous improvement.
- Cost & Value Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction, value creation, and process improvement across the services categories.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with industry trends, supplier market dynamics, and best practices in professional and marketing services procurement.
Our Requirements:
- University Degree in relevant business discipline with 5+ years of procurement/category management experience in a complex, multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of strategic procurement principles, particularly in indirect services.
- Deep knowledge of Marketing & Professional Services categories (e.g., media, creative agencies, consulting, legal services, financial services, HR services).
- Familiarity with contract law, commercial agreements, and risk mitigation.
- Expertise in supplier relationship management and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in procurement analytics, cost modelling, and benchmarking.
- Knowledge of eProcurement tools and contract lifecycle management systems.
- Proven experience in managing a high value spend portfolio (~$100M+) across multiple geographies.
- Experience in working with C-level stakeholders and influencing senior decision-makers.
- Track record in negotiating major centralized contracts and driving cost savings.
- Strong project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience in supplier market assessments, RFP execution, and strategic sourcing.
A remote working role with the flexibility to be contractually based from home, within the UK.
