Company

We’re partnering with a UK-based consultancy known for delivering strategic, high-impact solutions across defence, healthcare, and other complex sectors. As part of their growth, they’re evolving their internal learning platform into a more dynamic, client-facing environment. To support this, they’re seeking a Moodle expert to enhance the platform’s functionality and user experience, helping shape a scalable learning solution for future external use.

Role

You’ll lead the technical refinement of a Moodle-based LMS. The role needs a hands-on Moodle expert who can identify and resolve backend inefficiencies, collaborate with frontend specialists to improve user experience, and help shape the platform’s long-term strategy. You’ll also advise on features like client-specific access, sandbox environments, and scalable subscription models.

Skillset required:

  • Moodle Expertise: Proven experience in Moodle administration, customisation, and optimisation.
  • Technical Capability: Confident working across both backend and frontend to improve system performance and user experience.
  • Collaborative Approach: Comfortable working alongside internal developers and aligning with broader business goals.
  • Platform Strategy: Able to advise on scalable models, including client access areas and subscription-based functionality.
  • Problem Solver: Can identify system inefficiencies and implement practical, long-term solutions.
  • Content Testing: Familiar with creating or supporting sandbox environments for piloting new learning content.

Rewards

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a high-impact digital learning platform within a respected consultancy working on mission-critical projects. You’ll have the freedom to influence both the technical direction and long-term potential of the LMS, with the chance to leave a lasting mark on a growing area of the business. Competitive day rates, flexible remote working, and the ability to define your own approach make this an ideal project for a confident, solutions-driven Moodle expert.
