As they enter an exciting phase of growth, we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and operation of lab facilities and test equipment, including reactor prototypes.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain electrical systems for experiments and prototype equipment
- Fabricate, test, and troubleshoot electrical subsystems
- Perform routine maintenance and calibrations
- Support engineers and scientists with experiments and data collection
- Ensure all systems meet safety and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent)
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
- 3–5 years’ experience in electrical or lab-based engineering work
- Skilled in electrical testing, diagnostics, and reading schematics
- Familiar with PLC systems and data logging
- Experience in ATEX/hazardous gas environments (desirable)
