Are you an experienced Quality Inspector with experience working within the Precision Engineering sector? If so, I am looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to work for one of my clients, an Engineering and Manufacturing company based in Wetherby. Working in a small team, your main role will be inspecting products against engineering drawings to assess whether products meet the required quality standards, using a range of hand tools to manually inspect components.
Day to day tasks will include:
- Ensure conformity for one off and small batch precision engineered components
- Visual and dimensional inspection
- Complete First Article Inspections and NCRs
- Understanding of geometric tolerances and various surface finishings
- Liaise with other departments when needed
For this role, you must have formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering or similar (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC, HND etc.).
Other key skills required are:
- Experience working in similar position, ideally within the Precision Engineering Industry
- The ability to read, interpret and work directly from complex engineering drawings
- Experience of using Conventional Measuring Instruments and equipment including micrometres, verniers, digital verniers and calipers
- A background working to tight tolerances and to ISO 9001 standards
- Have a passion for Geometry and all things measuring
- Experience of Inspection best practices
- The ability to manage your time and deal with multiple tasks and issues simultaneously within tight deadlines
- Possess a hardworking and hands on approach to problem solving
- An exceptional level of attention to detail
This role is advertised as Permanent, with a salary of between GBP35k pa to GBP45k pa Depending on Experience. Your core working hours will be 7.30am-5.15pm from Monday to Thursday, although flexibility in this will be required to suit my clientβs needs.
