An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Team Leader Paralegal to join our growing legal operations team, working in partnership with the Team Leader to manage and support the performance and development of a dedicated group of Paralegals and Apprentices. This position is suited to a paralegal who enjoys coaching and mentoring, as well as delivering high-quality legal services. Prior experience in finance, restructuring, or corporate law is advantageous, but we also welcome applicants with relevant experience in other practice areas.

Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership & Development
- Line manage a designated team of Paralegals and Apprentices.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and career check-ins.
- Support career progression and encourage continuous development.
- Work alongside leadership to define and implement team development strategies.
- Client & Project Management
- Take client instructions, assess requirements, and allocate appropriate resources.
- Oversee and manage larger and more complex legal projects.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures for team outputs.
- Operational Improvement
- Assist in developing and refining internal processes and best practices.
- Contribute to team-wide initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and service delivery.
- Engage with legal technology tools and promote their effective use.
- Strong legal technical knowledge in at least one practice area (finance, restructuring, corporate, or similar).
- Previous experience in a legal environment, ideally as a Paralegal or equivalent.
- Confidence in managing workloads and working to deadlines.
- Collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Supervisory or mentoring experience.
- Experience in defining or refining legal workflows and process improvement.
- Exposure to or interest in legal technology solutions.
