About the Role:

  • You will play a key role in delivering and developing an integrated, patient-focused stroke service, providing care across:
  • Hyperacute, acute, and stroke rehabilitation pathways
  • Rapid assessment, thrombolysis and thrombectomy decision-making
  • Stroke clinics and ongoing outpatient care
  • Clinical leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration
  • You will also be encouraged to contribute to:
    • Service innovation and pathway development
    • Governance and audit programmes
    • Training and supervision of junior doctors and AHPs
    • Research and quality improvement initiatives

    What We're Looking For:

    • GMC Registration with entry on the Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT)
    • CCT in Stroke Medicine, Geriatric Medicine or Neurology (or equivalent overseas qualifications)
    • Proven experience in hyperacute stroke care and familiarity with thrombolysis and thrombectomy protocols
    • A collaborative, innovative and patient-centred mindset
