White Label Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a well-established engineering company that specialises in pumps, and some hydraulics, that are now looking to take on an Internal Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer for their offices in Yorkshire. This role offers hybrid working from home up to 2 days! Plus flexi time.
Role Overview
- Day-to-day tasks vary: from handling a simple enquiry (e.g., selecting an accessory for a pump) to reviewing complex tender documents and understanding specific requirements.
- Responsibilities include product sizing, configuration, and preparing quotations—not direct sales or chasing quotes.
- The person will primarily work with distributors, who in turn support the end-user. There will be limited direct end-user contact.
- The role has a global scope, dealing with customers and distributors worldwide.
The Person
- Background in pumps ideally, or also hydraulics or associated equipment.
- Understanding of process flow diagrams or P&IDs is highly desirable, but not essential.
- A basic knowledge of fluid properties and principles is expected.
- Full training will be provided on systems, applications, and product use.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and customer-centric—these are key traits for success in the role.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with 10–12 people across various departments.
