My client is looking for an enthusiastic UK Technical Field Application Engineer to act as the key technical bridge between the team and its customers. This role involves supporting customers and the technical team with product design and requirements, collaborating closely with the manufacturing team, and ensuring seamless integration and optimization of products. You will be instrumental in driving customer success and contributing to the advancement of innovative technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer on-site and remote assistance to customers, addressing technical inquiries and resolving issues related to our display products.
- Develop and conduct training sessions to educate customers on product features, applications, and best practices.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs, propose tailored solutions, and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Work closely with customers to ensure seamless integration, resolve technical challenges, and optimize product performance.
- Act as the voice of the customer by providing feedback to internal R&D teams, influencing product improvements and future development.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, application notes, and user manuals for customers and internal teams.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to provide valuable insights to the organization and customers.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of LCD, OLED, and touchscreen technologies, including their integration into Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
- Experience with MIPI DSI, HDMI, SPI, I²C, and LVDS protocols for display integration, as well as PCB layout and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Proficiency in configuring and optimizing display drivers on platforms such as Linux, Windows, and Android, with programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Understanding of color calibration, gamma correction, and optical bonding techniques to enhance performance and readability in various environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding.
Qualifications
- An engineering Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 2+ years experience in display technology integration or technical support, ideally in HMI-focused applications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel.
