A Swing Shift - Production Assembler job at our manufacturing plant in Sacramento, CA is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. In this role, you’ll have mechanical aptitude with the ability to use other hand tools. You must be able to perform tasks assigned in the construction of windows and patio doors in all phases of assembly. In addition to meeting departmental manufacturing goals, safety, accuracy, and efficiency are key elements to your performance. The compensation is $22 an hour, plus a $1 shift differential. The position requires a start time of 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime required.
What You'll Do
- You will assist in the work activities of the department team members.
- You work directly with the department supervisor and department lead to ensure that all manufacturing orders are followed through properly to completion and are filled properly before the deadline.
- Production job responsibilities include:
- Required to be able to handle glass.
- Support product build and assembly processes with accuracy and efficiency with the use of standard work instructions.
- Focus on the quality and timely delivery of completed tasks to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrate Milgard’s Core Values in all business interactions.
- Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.
Qualifications
- One year of similar work experience (Assembly, Manufacturing, and/or Warehouse)
- Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read a tape measure.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Compute basic math problems to include fractions, and addition/subtraction.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
