EMS is a systems integrator and specialist solutions provider of instrumentation and services for monitoring and managing discharges to the natural environment. Part of the Cura Terrae group of environmental companies, we help businesses meet and maintain environmental compliance, working in the areas of water and wastewater monitoring, air and emissions monitoring, data acquisition, environmental management, and training. The specialist support we offer is based on understanding clients’ requirements and providing a flexible approach.
In this role you’ll be required to maintain, diagnose (including fault finding) and repair a wide range of equipment for a range of applications in both field and workshop environments. As an engineer you’ll possess experience of problem solving, working alone and as part of an engineering team. You’ll be responsible for providing front line customer support through product knowledge, therefore dexterity and the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new products and applications is essential. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be eager, diligent and safety conscious with a track record of owning problems and taking them through to successful completion. In this customer facing role you’ll provide information through strong professional communication skills. This position is based in the UK and requires flexibility as out of hours work may be included.
You’ll have relevant experience and have previous working knowledge in fault finding and repairs. You have experience working on the maintenance, repairing, and calibration of current installed products. You’ll be computer literate and have the aptitude to learn new software systems. You’ll have the ability to demonstrate ownership of issues and achieve timely resolution with quality at the forefront. This is a hands-on role using tools to assemble equipment therefore you’ll have an appreciation of Health and Safety importance and considerations.
