Elevation HR are currently recruiting an Employee Relations Specialist for a technology driven manufacturing business. The role will provide expert employment law, collective bargaining and engagement advice relating to trade unions, employee relations, and HR policy.

Elevation HR are keen to speak to candidates with the following experience and knowledge:

  • To provide Employee Relations advice to the business on collective bargaining arrangements, current policies and procedures and best practice in dealing with collective grievances.
  • Support and develop a team of HR Advisors.
  • To support in the delivery of revised collective bargaining arrangements, pay award discussions and revisions to terms and conditions of employment.
  • Support or lead the Employee Relations aspects of HR/Business Projects and Change activity to ensure compliance with Legal, Policy, Collective requirements.
  • To create a refreshed set of HR policies and procedures, from initial thinking and stakeholder engagement through to final communication and implementation.
  • Maintain, update and advise on the company’s policies and terms & conditions relating to employee relations to ensure the delivery of Employee Relations forums at a company level whilst liaising with colleagues at a business level, to improve the effectiveness of business level forums.
  • Support the operational HR teams in complex conduct, capability and dignity at working investigations and hearings; as agreed from time to time.
  • Level 7 CIPD Qualified.
  • Proven experience of working within a unionised environment, supporting on terms & conditions and pay negotiations.
  • Substantial post qualification experience of Employee Relations Case Work, including Tribunal Casework.
  • Understand the internal and external employee relations environment in order to anticipate trends, areas of commonality and likely conflict and develop tactics for implementing business change.
  • The ability to work under a very high degree of pressure, including meeting unpredictable deadlines and dealing with conflicting demands.

This is a full-time role but the client does offer flexible working with the ability to work from home 2 days a week.
