Job Overview:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Linux-based infrastructure. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of systems. Your expertise in Linux system administration, AWS cloud services, and automation tools will be critical in driving infrastructure projects and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer Linux systems.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation, the AWS console, and the command line.
  • Implement and manage Docker containers to ensure consistent and efficient deployment of applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to improve system management and deployment processes.
  • Ensure security best practices and compliance across all Linux systems and AWS environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our infrastructure remains cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in Linux system administration, with a strong focus on Amazon Linux being a bonus.
  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, for example, EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and RDS.
  • High level of proficiency with AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
  • Strong experience with the AWS console and command-line interface (CLI).
  • Proficiency in managing and orchestrating Docker containers.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline implementation.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
