Role Purpose:
The buying assistant role is critical in supporting the effective running of the category to deliver the commercial plan. Working within the commercial trading team to coordinate promotions and ensuring the accurate and effective administration of our products, to enable the brand to provide a breadth of range inclusive to all our customers, at a price they love. This role reports to Senior Buyer for Superdrug Stores Plc.
A typical day in this role includes:
Interacting with a variety of stakeholders: Supply Chain, Marketing, Merchandising, OB Design and Technical, Finance Stakeholders from outside the BU: Suppliers
Responsible for supporting the effective day to day running of the department category
Ensuring all new lines are set up accurately and efficiently
Accurately implement costs and retail price amendments within agreed timescales, reconciling all changes to ensure consistency
Supporting the business to effectively deliver the end to end promotional process including POS sign off and promotional loading
Providing accurate reporting for weekly trade and on request
Working in collaboration with the store operations team to handle store product queries
Providing accurate and timely invoicing and tracking of ‘other income’
Providing exceptional service to customers both internal and external, working to proactively resolve queries and escalating where necessary
Helping the buyers with any ad hoc tasks and department queries

What you’ll need:
Confidence in office 365 products, specifically excel
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience working within retail would be idea
