A trusted employer with a first class reputation, our client is recruiting for an HR Business Partner role. This is a newly created role within the Group structure, based from one of three Manufacturing sites in the UK – Swansea/Herford/Birmingham. Reporting to the HR Manager who is based in Swansea, the role is responsible for providing a proactive HR Business partner service, which will predominantly focus on Employee Relations, including Disciplinary, Grievance and Union matters across the three sites. The role will also support in the following areas: Advise on other employment matters on HR related topics. Counsel employees on work related problems. Support as required with the annual Performance Management process and act as a backup for the HRM as required. Organise, prioritise and manage a diverse workload under pressure. As a member of the Group, the philosophy is to contribute to team efforts; find new ways to help the team; learn new skills needed by the team; pitch in to help other team members as required; volunteer to help without being asked; keep track of approaching deadlines and speed up processes; keep aware of team members’ needs, offering support and assistance when required. Knowledge/Qualifications Demonstrated experience in an Employee Relations HR role, ideally in a fast-paced, results-driven, manufacturing environment. Strong practical working knowledge of employment law. Demonstrated experience in working in a heavily unionized environment. PC literate in particular Microsoft Office packages: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and HRIS (ideally SAP). Excellent interpersonal skills. A strong communicator, friendly and amiable in approach. Can work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Well organized and systematic. Accurate and efficient. Strong ethics. Strong sense of urgency.
