Energy Advisor Salary: £25,570 per annum generous benefits Hours: Full-time – This is a full time 37.5 per week role. The contract hours for this position will be required to work a shift pattern between the hours of 8am-6pm Mon-Fri and 8am-6pm Saturday. The team The consumer advice-focused role will sit in the energy team, whose purpose is to enable households, small businesses and communities to have affordable energy costs and reduce carbon emissions that contribute to climate change. We provide energy advice services, renewable energy expertise and manage and administer loans and grants for energy saving and low or zero carbon improvements to homes and businesses on behalf of governments, local authorities and businesses. Our work is service-focused and seeing the impact we have on the lives of people we support is what brings us to work each day. We collaborate and support each other, sharing expertise and best practice and innovating to deliver world-class customer experience. The role You will move between different energy advice services as required, swiftly learning and applying different knowledge for each, while at all times meeting high quality and customer service standards. You will advise on a wide range of topics including energy efficiency, home renewables, low and zero carbon heating, affordable warmth, low carbon transport and water efficiency. (Full training will be provided.) What you’ll do Provide telephone, written and online based energy advice to a wide range of householders and small businesses. You will have the ability to motivate and enable householders to take action to reduce their fuel bills and cut carbon emissions, and for them to make their homes warmer and more comfortable. What you’ll bring A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service in an advice setting. Knowledge and understanding of energy efficiency and existing energy schemes. Ability to work across multiple programmes and maintain a broad knowledge base of multiple programmes. The ability to learn and apply new knowledge quickly.
