Are you a Senior Project Manager passionate about turning challenging sites into safe, sustainable spaces for the future? We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background in remediation — not civils — who can oversee multiple complex earthworks projects with confidence, discipline, and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership for delivering earthworks-based remediation projects, from initiation through to completion — safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Manage contaminated soil and groundwater treatment, site preparation, and related technical operations alongside your team of multidisciplinary experts.
- Develop and oversee project plans, manage stakeholders, control financial performance, and produce accurate reports for both regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and oversight for site teams, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
- Communicate frequently and transparently with regulators, clients, and stakeholders, interpreting technical data and navigating environmental permits.
- Support team members’ professional growth and identify training needs alongside delivering operational excellence.
- Implement innovations and best practices to maximize delivery and service.
- Perform any other duties that contribute to delivering a first-rate, compliant, and safely-managed project.
About You
- Qualification: HNC/Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, or related — or extensive relevant experience.
- Experience: minimum of 10 years’ delivering complex remediation or earthworks projects.
- Proven Ability: to manage multiple projects (typically 2–3) and stakeholders with confidence and finesse.
- Commercial Acumen: strong financial control, supplier management, and a keen understanding of NEC3, JCT, CDM2015, SMSTS, CSCS, and WAMITAB.
- Technical Expertise: interpreting site investigation data, navigating environmental permits, liaising with regulators, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Other: a full UK driving licence and a readiness to travel across the UK as needed.
