We seek a senior Interaction Designer contractor to join our global client in the UK for government projects - working out the best way to let users interact with services, in terms of both overall flow and at the level of individual design elements.
Contract role (Inside IR35) via Dexian UK - Duration: up to 2 years with potential for further extension. Remote role - with occasional business travels. Full-time assignment. Possession of an Active SC clearance is required.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing requirements, designing alternatives, prototyping designs, and evaluating prototypes.
- Work with service managers and programme directors to develop design concepts.
- Have responsibility across complex services.
- Help set direction and embed good practice within teams.
- Make important decisions based on research and understand how this research impacts others.
Requirements:
- Relevant interaction designer work experience.
- Ability to clearly explain complex problems and ideas to teams or stakeholders outside of design.
- Experience in documenting and communicating design decisions, related risks and any unresolved issues.
- Proficiency in designing inclusive, accessible and environmentally sustainable content or services.
- Ability to shape design, identify and create new design patterns and components.
