About the Role
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining custom Magento 2 modules and extensions, ensuring seamless third-party integrations, and optimising backend performance. You’ll collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality ecommerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom Magento 2 modules and extensions aligned with business needs
- Work with APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations to ensure smooth data flow
- Optimise Magento backend performance (database queries, caching, load times)
- Troubleshoot backend issues to ensure platform stability and scalability
- Maintain high code quality through best practices, peer reviews, and automated testing
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the technical growth of the team
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience in Magento 2 backend development, including custom module creation and system architecture
