A Senior Accountant who is fully qualified to ACA / ACCA / CIMA or similar, with experience of producing company management and statutory accounts, who has worked within a housing association / local authority or similar is required to join our team at A2Dominion based in Ealing, West London.

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Accountant who is fully qualified to ACA / ACCA / CIMA or similar, with experience of producing company management and statutory accounts, who has worked within a housing association / local authority or similar. Working as the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for reporting for the completion of statutory and management reporting for an associated LLP, as well as functional reporting for Property Services. As the Senior Accountant you will have experience in budgeting, forecasting and critically analysing outputs, preparing VAT and related tax returns.
DUTIES
- Manage the delivery of management accounting, statutory reporting, financial and budgetary control of the organisation’s property services functional area, in line with Group reporting timetables and statutory requirements in time for the annual external audit.
- Manage the monthly reconciliation process of all relevant balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
- Manage the preparation of the annual budgets and monthly forecast by effective monitoring, and ensure they are delivered on time.
- Responsible for the functional operational reporting for Property Services and associated LLP.
- Regularly meet and discuss the management accounts, forecasts and budgets and provide all financial support and analysis required.
- Provide support to the Property Services Business Partner.
- Establish sound working relationships with the wider Finance team and business and act as key point of contact.
- Working with the Group Finance team to assist the preparation of all VAT, corporation tax and any related tax returns.
- Be responsible for completing and submitting all regulatory returns for CITB and surveys to Office for National Statistics.
- Ensure that internal and external auditors are provided with all necessary documentation to enable audits to be carried out in accordance with the agreed timetable.
- In conjunction with the Head of Operational Finance Reporting ensure that all necessary financial controls are in place within the operational teams and are continually reviewed and tested, and work with operational teams to assist in ensuring financial controls are robust within their areas ensuring compliance with Financial Reporting Standards, the SORP and HMRC requirements.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar.
- Experience of working within a housing association/local authority or similar.
- Experience of producing company management and statutory accounts.
- Experience of preparing VAT and related tax returns.
- Experience of balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliation.
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting and critically analysing outputs.
