The role...
The Commercial Excellence function within GlobalData comprises Revenue Operations, GTM Enablement, Pricing and GTM Tech teams which exist to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of its GTM operation. In order that we motivate our Sales Team using sophisticated Commission Plans, Incentives and Gamification tools, the team is looking to recruit a Revenue Operations Analyst to manage the Sales Commission Process.
In this role you will be building out the Sales Commission Process. This will involve working with Sales Management, HR and the Commercial Excellence Leadership to construct and model Sales Commission Plans that help drive the performance of over 300 sellers globally. You will be able to work accurately and quickly to ensure that the annual and monthly commission cycles are maintained.
This person will report to the Director of Revenue Operations and will be responsible for contributing to Plan design, building commission calculators, plan documents and administering plan distribution. The role will require Plan tracking and Forecasting performance and partnering with the Finance team who will reconcile sales actuals against quota and calculate individual payments to our team members.
Whilst initially working with Word and Excel, applicants with previous use of software commission calculators such as Xactly, Varicent, SPIFF would be an asset. You are passionate about Sales Commission and Revenue Operations more widely, love data, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to flex between big picture thinking while also sweating the details.

What you’ll be doing...
- Manage the Sales Commission calendar partnering with our HR, Commercial Finance Team and Sales Leadership. This will involve analysis of the performance, managing the Sales roster distribution of Sales commission plans annually and to new starters and modelling of the plan performance to make recommendations for future enhancement.
- The Process will involve using a range of existing GTM tech tools including Salesforce, Hubspot, Gong Conversational Intelligence and Gong Engage as well as testing new tools including Revenue Platforms and AI that provide insights as to future plan development.
- Support Commission data requests from Sales, Sales Management and Revenue Operations.
- Develop and maintain Commission Plans and track their performance in both motivational and financial terms.
- Partner with stakeholders in HR finance, and Sales to ensure the plan is fit for purpose.
- Proactively identify trends within the commission process by Role Type, Plan Type, Team, Geography etc.
- Support in preparation of data and insights for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Production of Ad Hoc Commission analysis.
What we’re looking for...
- 2+ years of analytical experience in building and maintaining Commission processes.
- Advanced Excel, including SQL, Power BI and data visualisation skills would be an asset.
- Prior use of Commission calculation software like SPIFF, Varicent, Xactly would be useful.
- Able to turn data into insights and present information to all levels within the organisation including non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to turn insights into compelling PowerPoint presentations.
- Great organisational skills able to run a time-critical Commission calendar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High levels of curiosity around improving the sales Commission process.
- Fast paced, accurate with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Bonus: experience with CRMs, finance tools, SQL, data warehousing etc.
