Electronics Technician would suit a Junior Engineer or recent Apprentice or college leaver looking to develop a career within a specialist R&D environment. Growing business working on really interesting and unique projects. Seeking someone with a passion for electronics and has an eagerness to develop.

World class research, development and test engineering organisation. UKAS accredited laboratory environment. Electronics Technician or Instrumentation Technician to conduct instrument calibration and repair. Fantastic opportunity to join an internationally recognised engineering organisation with ambitious growth plans.

Salary & Package

Salary & Package: 28,000 to 32,000 as a rough guide. Excellent benefits including 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays, additional leave purchase, up to 8% matched pension contribution, health care, life assurance and more

This Electronics Technician job will suit

  • A Technician with practical electronics experience, ideally instrument calibration and repair.
  • A recently completed apprenticeship or college qualification within an electronics related discipline.
  • You are likely to have a relevant qualification (HND / BTEC or Degree) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Ability to read and create basic electronic designs.
  • Hands on in nature and have an inquisitive mindset when it comes to electronics and testing.

  • Performing multi-disciplinary instrument calibration and repair within a scientific environment.
  • Read and create basic electronics designs and PCB layouts
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly methods and practices, including digital interfacing techniques.
  • Preparation of technical calibration reports.
  • Fault finding to component level, soldering to replace surface mount devices.
