Are you an experienced Talent and Leadership Development Professional looking for a dynamic and impactful role? This might be for you!

You will be leading on cultural and behavioural change across the Company, ensuring all aspects of development, cultural change and talent management are focused on diversity and inclusivity to ensure accessibility to all of our People.

You will have real determination and a positive \’can do\’ attitude. Business partnering skills are essential as you will be expected to build positive relationships, influence people and manage stakeholders effectively. You will feel equally comfortable getting involved in delivery with a hands on approach and pitching for new ideas to the Board of Executives.

We work in a hybrid way, with a requirement to travel into our Walsall office at least twice a week to work with the team. Frequent travel to our offices in Nottingham and Preston will also be required. With that in mind you will be located within a convenient commute to Walsall.

Through strong and professional thought leadership, you will provide strategic direction on talent, learning, career and leadership development across the Company ensuring we retain and develop our talent. Leading the Cultural development of the organisation to ensure demonstrable values of inclusivity, responsiveness and innovation.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Accountable for the design and delivery of strategic leadership and talent development programmes for all managers and leaders; includes Executive and Senior leader development and coaching as well as core management essentials for People managers, to drive future capabilities and behavioural performance
  • Accountable for the implementation and embedding of succession planning practices, talent management and development programmes across the Company to enable it to fully utilise the potential of its people and meet future and changing business needs.
  • Responsibility for presenting strategy to Ex-Co, Board and REMCO to seek approval of strategies, inform and update on all aspects of management, leadership and talent development
  • Design and create Career Frameworks and digital Career Hub platforms and promote and communicate opportunities to ensure staff engagement with career and personal development.
  • Provide career progression guidance and career pathways for all layers of the organisation.
  • Administer, feedback and coach a range of psychometric assessments up to Senior Leadership level to support recruitment, selection, onboarding, development and talent pipelining.
  • Research, procure and partner training suppliers for the delivery of leadership and talent development activities where appropriate, responsible for budget management and forecasting.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:

Essential:

  • Fully CIPD qualified, ideally at Level 7 (Masters or equivalent) with a range of psychometric tool accreditations eg Hogan, Insights, Wave, EQ, 16PF
  • Have up to date knowledge of Talent Management best practice and be fully experienced in facilitating the use of performance management models and succession planning tools.
  • Exposure to working with assessments such as Hogan, Saville Wave, EI and 16PF and ability to convert into Leadership Fit reports will be beneficial
  • Be a visible, engaged and proactive presence, act as an ambassador and advocate of culture, behaviour, personal growth and development.
  • Enjoy working in a very fast paced environment
  • Be curious and focus on continuous improvement to meet the changing cultural and social needs of the business and its people.
  • Have up to date knowledge of Leadership Development best practice with a focus on thought leadership, EI and competency frameworks
  • Be confident to communicate, influence and challenge at a senior leader level including Executive team
  • Be experienced in TNA tools and techniques and confident in data insight, analysis and effectiveness
  • Be an exceptional communicator and presenter, able to adapt to meet various stakeholders and audiences demonstrating strong stakeholder management, influencing and persuasive skills
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Experience of leading cultural change at an organisational level.
  • Proven capabilities as a senior leader and manager, with a proactive, flexible and inclusive management style
