We are proud to be working in partnership with an Outstanding further education provider in the Rotherham area, who are seeking a dedicated SEND & Exam Access Arrangements Assessor to join their high-performing Additional Learning Support team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for a qualified and experienced professional who is passionate about supporting learners with SEND and ensuring they receive appropriate support to reach their potential - both day-to-day and during examinations.

The Role

You will play a vital role in identifying and supporting students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including those with EHCPs. Working as part of the Additional Learning Support (ALS) team, you will conduct assessments, liaise with families and professionals, and put together tailored support plans to aid learner progression. A key part of the role is managing exam access arrangements. You must be fully qualified to conduct these assessments in line with JCQ regulations and be confident completing Form 8s. This is an essential requirement for the role.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 7 qualification (e.g., CPT3A or equivalent) in psychometric testing, assessment, and access arrangements - you must meet JCQ requirements to carry out EAA and complete Form 8s
  • Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and responsibilities of FE providers
  • Understanding of JCQ guidelines for exam access arrangements
  • A specialist SEND qualification and Level 2 qualifications in Maths & English (GCSE or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, empathy, and a learner-first approach
  • Experience working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies
