An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pensions Consultant to join a fast-growing and well-backed Financial Services group. This business is undergoing a period of strategic growth, having made several key acquisitions across the UK financial services sector. The firm provides a comprehensive range of wealth management, pensions and employee benefit solutions to both corporate and individual clients across the country.
As part of a specialist pensions team, the successful candidate will provide tailored, regulated advice to members of group pension schemes. The role offers autonomy and flexibility, with hybrid working and full control of diary management. The position is based out of the company’s Bristol office, with travel as required.
The position will involve close collaboration with financial advisers and corporate consultants to generate and follow up on client leads, ensuring opportunities are maximised. This includes working together to identify client needs, refer opportunities between teams and deliver a seamless bespoke service.
Responsibilities:- Provide regulated pension and transfer advice to both new and existing group pension members
- Deliver specialist guidance and clear recommendations to support informed decision-making
- Conduct site visits and remote presentations to pension scheme members
- Collaborate with corporate consultants to follow up on advice leads
- Maintain up-to-date CPD and compliance records
- Contribute towards team objectives and engage with internal projects
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Support and represent the business at training sessions, meetings, and industry events
- Actively develop additional support and services for scheme members
- Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent qualification)
- Strong technical knowledge of pension arrangements and group schemes
- Demonstrated experience in a similar client-facing advisory role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM/database systems
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Committed to high standards of professionalism, trust, and continuous improvement
