This role will be assisting the Cold Store Manager with the day to day operations of the Cold Store, including overseeing staff, managing inventory and efficient workflows. They will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and organised environment, whilst supporting the overall efficiency and productivity of the cold store.
- Teamwork - Work collaboratively with all teams within supply chain and all coldstore teams (3 shifts) to maintain high productivity standards.
- Communication - Communicate effectively with coldstore staff, other departments and management to facilitate smooth operations. Clear and concise communications within Ardo UK and Group. Communicating and interacting with external vendors and customers, keeping them up to date with any issues.
- Strategic - Assist the Cold Store Manager with achieving department objectives.
- Analytical - Problem solving – Identifying operational issues, suggesting improvements and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
Responsibilities & Expertise
- Inventory Management – Maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper storage of goods and coordinating inventory cycles.
- Operations support – Assisting with receiving, stocking, retrieving and shipping goods. Ensuring smooth order fulfilment processes.
- Safety and Security – Enforcing safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe, and secure coldstore environment.
- Deputise for the Cold Store Manager in their absence.
- Assist the team leaders with completing monthly 1-2-1's with the coldstore team.
- Assist the coldstore manager to manage stock effectively and safely creating a plan to reduce damages and lost stock.
- Assist the coldstore manager in ensuring best practice within the coldstore and achieving maximum scores on all audits.

Compliance
- Maintain a full understanding of the legal requirements within the department and within the business to be able to operate with full legal compliance.
- Personally comply with all policies, procedures, and risk assessments to role and responsibilities.
- Completion of risk assessments with annual review of all key activities within the coldstore.
Your profile
- Warehouse management experience.
- Forklift licence – Non essential.
- SAP experience is preferred, although training will be given.
- Computer literacy is essential (Outlook, Word, Excel).
