Financial Controller - Part time

Part time Financial Controller SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a growing SME based in Southampton in their recruitment of a Financial Controller on a part time basis. 3 days per week or 5 days (reduced hours) Working in a small team, this role will report to the MD and oversee the Finance Manager. Key duties will include: Prepare, review, analyse and issue accurate and up-to-date management accounts at agreed monthly intervals, including actionable recommendations for the management team. (These reports will support business planning and forecasting.) Responsibilities include the reconciliation of all ledgers, bank accounts, VAT returns, management of the CIS and PAYE schemes, and calculation of sales agents' commissions. Prepare, review, agree, and issue the monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Liaise with external auditors and provide all necessary information to support the year-end audit process. Monitor and report on company cash flow, identifying and addressing potential issues. Recommend and implement solutions to maintain a healthy cash position, including managing metrics such as debtor days.
