A brilliant opportunity to drive operational excellence as the lead on a flagship site within the group. This is a newly created role, reporting into the Group OPEX Lead. The purpose of this is to drive continuous improvement and optimise processes as the site goes on a 'good to great' journey, looking at identifying and eliminating waste and enhancing efficiency. The site is in a good place and is performing well and with this being one of a number of new hires, they are in a place to push on to the next level and establish the site as a 'centre of excellence'. Therefore, they are heavily driving reliability practices, using data analysis to improve performance and using Six Sigma methodologies to lead cross functional teams in making improvements.

You will be supported by a Site Manager who is very CI/OPEX friendly - who understands that it is more than just buzz words, but by putting people first, creating a winning culture and driving practical improvements, underpinned by strong systems and processes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting on CI projects using both Six Sigma and other methodologies.
  • Developing a CI culture on site.
  • Troubleshooting complex issues using data in time critical situations.
  • Leading waste reduction, efficiency gains and JIT initiatives.
  • Creating SOPs, factory operating standards and better documenting of processes and systems.

We are looking for:

  • Continuous improvement/OPEX experience as a Coordinator, Facilitator or Manager. This can be through directly holding a CI/OPEX role or having had this exposure through being a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer etc.
  • A capable communicator, able to drive cultural improvements and process improvements with cross functional teams.
  • A high performance, winning mentality that is aiming for the best.
  • The Group OPEX Lead has high standards and wants someone who can influence at all different levels of the business.
  • A problem solving mindset that can really get to the root cause of an issue.
  • The ambition to progress within the business.
