As a Senior Project Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering financial support, detailed analysis, and accurate reporting to achieve financial targets for assigned projects. You will oversee large, complex study portfolios and implement corrective measures to enhance financial outcomes when needed.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Revenue Recognition Management: Establish and maintain Revenue Recognition (RR) reports for assigned projects in alignment with sponsor budgets. Update RR reports to reflect contract amendments and ensure monthly compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and submit monthly RR reports in NetSuite. Conduct monthly variance analyses, identifying and explaining any discrepancies. Review and report on the financial health of projects, considering revenue, forecasts, budgets, contract amendments, and cash positions.
- Forecasting Support: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure forecast accuracy. Assist Project Leads (PLs) in forecasting pass-through and grant allocations, ensuring the availability of sufficient funds for vendor and site payments.
- Budget and Actual Analysis: Evaluate project budgeted hours versus actual hours worked. Highlight areas of concern and propose corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure precision and efficiency in financial planning and forecasting.
- Ongoing Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor project performance metrics, including hours, revenue, and forecasts. Ensure alignment of financial reporting with contractual agreements and budgetary adjustments. Drive financial performance by delivering accurate reporting and effectively influencing project teams. Challenge operational decisions that could lead to margin erosion or delays and propose actionable improvements. Implement corrective actions to enhance performance at both study and portfolio levels.
- Sponsor Reporting: Support timely and accurate sponsor reporting, proactively aligning with requirements and expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in accounting, finance, or a related field, or qualification through relevant experience.
- Minimum of six years in a Finance Analyst role handling diverse and complex project portfolios within a CRO (Contract Research Organization) setting.
- Good knowledge of ASC606 Revenue Recognition is preferred.
- Strong Financial acumen along with a methodical approach to tasks, awareness of organizational and external dynamics, and analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Strong Communicator: Demonstrate written, verbal and presentation skills to help showcase the successes of your work and Rho's.
- Fluency in both English and local languages.
