Field Systems Engineer Location: South East - London and surrounding areas
Due to continued growth, Comms-Care is looking for a talented Field Network Engineer to join our Technical Services Team on a permanent basis.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: Dependent on experience - plus company car, fuel card, paid overtime & on call, all expenses paid, supported study for CCNA / MCSP, and more benefits.
Role Overview
At Comms-Care, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service. This role offers opportunities to develop existing skills working on a variety of projects and break-fix calls. You will receive initial training and ongoing development, with opportunities to complete certificates such as CCNA and/or MCSA.
Responsibilities
- Installing and supporting network devices, PCs, and Servers for customers.
- Remote and onsite troubleshooting.
- Pre-staging of router and switch installations according to documentation.
- Facilitating customer adds, moves & changes, rollouts, and project-based installs.
- Project site surveys and documentation.
- Post-sales support.
- Site visits to assess and swap non-functional equipment.
- On-Call support (not more than 1 week in 3).
Candidate Requirements
- Experience with Cisco, Draytek, Zyxel, Netgear routers.
- Experience with Cisco, Aruba, and HP switches.
- 1st/2nd line Server/PC hardware support.
- Good communication skills and excellent English.
- Experience supporting high-profile customers.
- Flexible approach and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Ability to handle problems beyond own area of expertise.
