Summary

Assists the teacher with daily classroom activities, supervises students, and may perform clerical duties. Follows health and behaviour plans as directed.

Essential Duties

  • Work with students in academic settings.
  • Assist teacher with classroom operations and small group instruction.
  • Escort children, prepare classroom materials, and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Use instructional technology and complete clerical tasks.
  • Supervise students during meals, recess, and bus duty.
  • Report injuries and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
