A global sportswear brand is looking for an experienced Accessories Designer-Developer to join its London-based team. You will be working across both men’s and women’s collections, designing a broad mix of performance and lifestyle products—bags, backpacks, wash bags, headwear, and hydration bottles.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct seasonal trend research and identify key products across accessories categories.
- Build seasonal themes, colour palettes, and material stories that reflect brand direction.
- Design original concepts and create accurate technical drawings across all styles.
- Stay close to relevant sport, lifestyle, and outdoor trends—offering insight on silhouettes, finishes, and materials.
- Create mood boards and trend presentations to support each season’s direction.
- Partner with the Head of Design and Sales teams to build commercially strong, brand-relevant ranges.
- Maintain clear records of all development work—fabrics, trims, prints, and specs.
- Produce detailed spec sheets and technical packs for all products.
- Follow critical paths and range plans to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Implement sample changes into tech packs and communicate updates to suppliers.
- Manage sample delivery, organisation, and tracking through the development process.
- Support seasonal catalogue content and help prep for sales and go-to-market tools.
- Travel as required for supplier meetings, brand collaborations, and product reviews.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in accessories design (bags, headwear, soft goods) within sportswear, lifestyle, or fashion.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of soft accessories construction. Pattern cutting or product development experience is a bonus.
- Sector Insight: Experience with outdoor or performance accessories is a strong advantage.
- Mindset: Agile, proactive, and able to deliver in a fast-paced, global brand environment.
