My client is a growing SME with a positive culture. They are a leader in a specific technology field.
In this Commercial role, you will utilise data to aid business decision making. You will focus on the future of performance, bringing together inputs from across the business to drive forecasting, develop dashboards and investment cases that aid business decisions. You will provide detailed analysis and scenario modelling, and bring the same to pricing strategies, M&A screening and company-wide risk scenarios. By translating data into narrative, you will increase financial knowledge across the company and give leadership the information to move quickly.
- Be the voice of Finance in cross functional teams - source and challenge assumptions, build investment cases and run post launch reviews.
- Co-ordinate Commercial, Product and Technology inputs to the annual budget and rolling forecast, integrating approved business cases and risk weighted scenarios into the Company model overseen by the CFO and Finance Director.
- Develop and maintain driver-based forecasting modules in the planning toolset (ERP planning module, Power BI, Excel).
- Produce dashboards that translate 'big data' into usable insights and dashboards for non-finance colleagues.
- Lead the origination and financial analysis of potential acquisitions: build screening models, valuations and due diligence.
- Quantify the impact of risks in scenario analyses and surface these insights for management decision making.
- Act as a finance business partner to 'the business'.
You will be a commercially focused finance professional with a passion for developing the use of data and the supporting systems. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to business partner effectively.
Salary of £60,000 - £80,000 plus benefits.
